We are a couple lucky guys.
We canĀ“t think of anyone else who has had the opportunity to spend this kind of time with their moms. Our moms have made a connection, a friendship that seems similar to the one that we share. The moms will be leaving this Friday….it sure has been a great visit.

Wow, what an awesome trip!
I live in Iceland, and have seen some of the press ads leading up to your adventure, but it honestly had slipped my mind.
Today I happened accross a web page with a link to the blog. I’m so glad to have found the story again before it reached its conclusion. Now I can kill some company time and live vicariously through you two!
The whole concept of the trip is fantastic. I am deeply concerned about where our world is headed in terms of energy use and consumption, I love road trips, and I have always wanted to tour South America. Perfect combo!
Thank you for allowing me to tag along as you guys live out one of my life-dreams. Happy travels…

Hey Eric: You have an awesome road/ kayaking trip right in your back yard. Seth, Tyler, Nick, Ben, Arden, Trask, and I were there with Jon back in ‘00 filming “Valhalla”. I would guess you have as much good boating there as we do in all of Montana and Idaho with fewer than 50 kayakers on the island. Best wishes,,, Happy Travels, Bill

Bill,
You’ve got that right, there are some great drives here, but I’m just getting started with my whitewater boat so many of the rivers are a bit too crazy for me. I did, however, just pick up a wetsuit and will be getting a surfboard this April to take advantage of the coast. It’s cold, but you gotta use what you’ve got.
This will be a hell of a place to learn these two sports! Rock on…
