Cruisin’ through the tetons on our way South.

Our new team members, Joe and Brett (a.k.a. Soup) have been classic. Having the boys along has added a ton more diversity and fun to our agenda. We are so stoked to have the boyz on board!

They don’t mind not having to pay for fuel at all. Each morning we gather around 60 gallons from the local areas we are at. Since Alaska, we have used around 95% waste oil!

The Big ONE….

The O+WP has been getting ready for the Outdoor Retailer.  We will be conducting the biggest demonstration to date on Saturday, August 12 from 6-9pm at the O+WP Kavu, Keen, MSR, Clifbar happy hour party.  We will be premiering the rig in its final form with all the goods.   Saturday night will be a party to remember.  No matter where you are out there, it will be worth the pilgrimage to check it out:)

Seattle: July 26-August 1

Downtime/Office Time

Installing new tents on the top and sides.

A SPECIAL thanks to Terry and Tom, the Engineers at Cascade Designs for designing the custom tent on the top of our ride. They hooked us with a new side tent too!

Sandpoint, ID: August 2-7

Met up with Tom and Joe from our design team and made the last finishing touches on the rig. We installed an onsight Waste Vegetable Oil collection system, plumbed the system with our first electric pump, got the vegetable oil press running (we’ve only pressed around 3 oz of veg oil so far, but starting to tune into how it works), and we installed a network of security boxes and latches. Anyone looking to steal our stuff will first have to break through 3 locks and a ton of solid metal.

The excruiating labor and long nights reminded us of last winter, living in Sandpoint and building the rig.

This tank is our new de-watering system. Our injection pump is already thanking us.

We can now transport and/or collect fuel from ANYWHERE! Hands clean.

It was good to see Grayce and Amber as always (hi girls!), keeping us company, even bringing us sanwiches late at night.

This is what our scene looks like nearly everywhere we go.

A new team member:) JOE MCLAY. He basically spent 16 hours a day in a smokey garage, 7 days a week for 2 months, helping Tom and us build our baby for less then minimum wage. He had just broken up with his girlfriend, and decided to leave with us on a moments notice. He had all his stuff packed up and ready to leave indefinitely in about 2 hours. A mechanic, craftsman, and all around motivated cool guy, he is the perfect balance to our junk show.

Get used to the back seat dude!

Yesterday and Today, we have been in Missoula, packing, working on the vegetable oil press and collection system, getting new tires, buffing the stereo system, collecting waste oil, putting new logos on the rig (in spanish) and getting ready to GRD! We will be picking up our next new team member Brett “Soup” Ferre in Bozman this afternoon, heading to Jackson Hole late tonight, and down to Salt Lake City, UT wednesday afternoon. See Ya’ll there:)
