There was a wide variety of folks at the Lincoln Theatre last night. Kayakers, Environmentalists and music groupies came together to make for one hell of a crowd. We rallyed a ton of support for the O+WP.

We had over 125 kids attend our demonstration here in Raleigh, North Carolina. There were kids from all over the place, and they were all smiles at the O+WP visit. We are starting to develop our presentation after this second stop. We had over 100 posters to choose from, but we liked this one the best:)

Rockin it out in the Southeast

Sorry Y’all, no pics today. We forgot the charger for the camera at another spot!@#$, but we will have it for the next post.

So, our first school in Charloette, NC was a raging success. The kids were going nuts, and the teachers said it was the coolest thing has happened all year. They were all up to speed with our curriculum, and the kids put some serious time into the alternative energy poster contest. One kid said he was going to invent the worlds first photosynthesis car that runs on CO2, producing oxygen (this pretty much blew our minds). Thanks to Lance and the crew at the National Whitewater Center for showing us a great time and helping us to host a great event in Charloette. We are stoked for the upcoming week because we have a school in Raleigh and one in Ashville. We have been getting re-charged paddling the Green and Cheoah River the last 2 days, and will likely head out to the Raven tomorrow for some hair, or the Tahlulah if we don’t get enough rain. Stay tuned for updates:) Seth and TY

Chillin in St. Louis:)

After a couple of quick in stops in Lawrence, Kansas and Saint Louis, Missouri, we attempted the mission to North Carolina. What an EPIC!!!!!! We stopped into Knoxville, TN for a 130 gallon fill-up of B100, and not long after had a double rear tire blow out. Not much we could have done without having two spares on board, these are the lessons we are happy to learn while we are safe in the US. It took AAA 4 hours to get to us, and when we loaded the rig onto the wrecker, the front of the tow truck popped a huge wheely 4 feet off the ground!! You will have to wait for the movie to see that. We made it into Ashville in the early morning of April 5th. Finding Tires the special sized tires didn’t happen quick, but we have a temporary system until we can get it worked out. We made it to Charloette just in time for the event yesterday. It is 4:30 am, and we are trying to get our lesson all dialed out for our first school visit which will take place in 4 hours. Looking forward to some kayaking this weekend. Drop us a note, we love getting your comments:) Seth and Tyler.

Learning how to Press Vegetable Oil

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

We spent yesterday in Hillsboro Kansas learning the ins and outs of pressing vegetable oil from raw seed. Russell Groves of www.flinthillsdiesel.com showed us how to break down the press, service it and run the biodiesel motor. We will be pressing vegetable oil from seeds in no time:) Our first school apperance is on Wednesday in Charloette, NC. We will be stopping by Lawrence, KS tonight followed by Columbia and ST. Louis Missouri on the way to the South. JIMMY SHIPLEY… You can’t hide from us, prepare to be terrorized in Saint Louis Monday night!!! Talk to you soon,
Seth and Tyler
