On Tour
March 29, 2006
We’re all moved into the rig, and have set the sail. A special thanks to our wonderful web-designer, Lacey for helping us get this Blog up. We just finished 3 events in the past 4 days, and put the hurt on Steamboat, Vail and Fort Collins:) We left Seattle on 19th of March, and have already put 3500 kilometers on the rig, which puts her at a total of 20,500 kms. The cool thing is that we haven’t put one ounce of petrol in the tank, and have burned approximately 150 gallons of B100 (100% Biodiesel), 45 gal. of WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil), and 15 gallons of SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil). On Friday, we will be meeting with Russell over at www.flinthillsdiesel.com in Kansas to learn about the art of pressing raw seed into vegetable oil. As well, Davco filters is teaming up with Blackmer pumps to design us the best on-sight WVO collection system in the world.
Julia has been killing it and we have been successful in obtaining all kinds of media promoting our cause. Watch for some upcoming posts that will show us on the cover of various Colorado publications:)
Alex designed the ulimate alternative energy curriculum for 5th graders, and Mary Jane is busy lining up schools for educational visits. The BEC team is really kicking it off right!!! Stay tuned for a post this weekend about our first adventure in pressing vegetable oil from rape seed.

Heyyou guys! I met you when we were filling up at Bartkus Oil in Boulder, CO and guess what. I am in Asheville, NC! It looks like we missed each other over on this side of the states, but who knows… I may see you again someday at some biodiesel fill up stations somewhere along the lines.
Peace and many blessings,
Brian a.k.a. Creageous
